Avery’s Village is a new residential community in Heddon Greta. Through developer contributions, Cessnock City Council were responsible for delivering a local park and playspace on a dedicated parcel of land.

Michael White Landscape Architecture worked closely with Council to prepare a design that could be delivered in stages as future funding became available.

The first stage comprised of a large playground with complimentary facilities to cater for social gatherings. The design adopted the NSW Government ‘Everyone Can Play’ guidelines ensuring people could easily access the playground, are encouraged to stay and are enticed to play.
