The Local Park forms part of a large open space network in the new township of Huntlee in the Hunter Valley.

The playspace is set amongst remnant trees and native grasslands on a gently sloping site. The design intent by Michael White Landscape Architecture was to create an imaginative playspace inspired by the natural setting by installing custom play items from reclaimed timber.
